SECOND INTERNATIONAL FILM AND AUDIOVISUAL FESTIVAL FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH

Information about Shipping and the participation on the festival:
1) You should send two copies on DVD format (region free) of the movie or audiovisual to the address in the footnote.
2) Add a printed copy of the registration form of the movie or audiovisual on the International Film and Audiovisual Festival for Children and Youth. Only a printed form along with the signature will be considered as the authorization of the producer’s participation on the Festival.
3) The festival allows the registration of films or audiovisual made for children and youth in scholar age, as well as the ones made by children and youth in scholar age. Both cases are called “Spaces” in the Festival. You must clarify it on the registration form.
4) You can participate in the Regional category if you live in Merida Venezuela and you have produce a long or short film or audiovisual.
It does not matter if you are under the age of 18; the Festival allows the participation of films and audiovisuals made by children and youth in scholar age. In this case you have to send an authorization form from your parents or a teacher from your school. If you wish, we can send an authorization format.
5) You can participate in the National category if you live in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and you have produce a long or short film or audiovisual.
It does not matter if you are under the age of 18; the Festival allows the participation of films and audiovisuals made by children and youth in scholar age. In this case you have to send an authorization form from your parents or a teacher from your school. If you wish, we can send an authorization format
6) You can participate in the International category of the Festival if you live in any country outside Venezuela.
There is not restriction on the language of your film or audiovisual. You have to send the two copies of the production with English closed caption or with English translation of the dialogs. You can send your translation by email, indicating minutes and seconds of the film where it starts each dialog. This document will allow us to make a dubbing into Spanish of the film or audiovisual
It does not matter if you are under the age of 18. In this case you have to send an authorization according to the national policies within your country or the international policies for children and youth.
7) It is important to remark that all costs for shipping submission are the responsibility of the sender. There is no limit on the number of film or audiovisual you wish to register on the Festival.
8) The deadline submission for films and audiovisuals will be on the February 15, 2012.
9) The jury will be divided into three categories:
a. Children Jury
b. Youth Jury
c. Adult Jury
10) The Children Jury will select two movies of the Regional Children Category: one from the space called “Made for” and one from the space called “Made by”. Two films or audiovisuals with the same characteristics for the national category will be selected.
11) The Youth Jury will select two movies of the Regional Youth Category: one from the space called “Made for” and one from the space called “Made by”. Two films or audiovisuals with the same characteristics for the national category will be selected.
12) The Adult Jury will select two movies of the Regional Children Category: one from the space called “Made for” and one from the space called “Made by”. Two films or audiovisuals with the same characteristics for the national and international category will be selected. There will be an identical choice for the Youth Category.
13) Following the guidelines from point 9 to 12 the Festival Awards will be:
a. Children Selection/ Regional Classification: “Best movie for children”.
b. Children Selection/ Regional Classification: “Best movie by children”.
c. Children Selection/ National Classification: “Best movie for children”.
d. Children Selection/ National Classification: “Best movie by children”.
e. Youth Selection/ Regional Classification: “Best movie for youth in scholar age”.
f. Youth Selection/ Regional Classification: “Best movie by youth in scholar age”.
g. Youth Selection/ National Classification: “Best movie for youth in scholar age”.
h. Youth Selection/ National Classification: “Best movie by youth in scholar age”.
i. Adult Selection/ Regional Classification: “Best Movie for children”
j. Adult Selection/ Regional Classification: “Best Movie by children”
k. Adult Selection/ National Classification: “Best Movie for children”
l. Adult Selection/ National Classification: “Best Movie by children”
m. Adult Selection/ International Classification: “Best Movie for children”
n. Adult Selection/ International Classification: “Best Movie by children”
o. Adult Selection/ Regional Classification: “Best Movie for youth in scholar age”
p. Adult Selection/ Regional Classification: “Best Movie by youth in scholar age”
q. Adult Selection/ National Classification: “Best Movie for youth in scholar age”

14) In case there is a single movie or audiovisual registered in any of the classifications, spaces or categories, the Festival will declare its nullity, even trough the single piece will be showed in the Festival.
15) There will be no shared awards in any of the categories. The jury can not declare the nullity of any of the prizes. The decision of any jury will be final. Only the Adult Jury can declare one or more honorific or special mention.
16) The participation in the Festival stands for the acceptance of each one of the guidelines here exposed.
17) For any doubts, you can contact us, if possible, before the deadline submission.
18) Any event or happening not considered in these guidelines will be solved at the discretion of “Grupo de Artes Escénicas y Audiovisuales Expresión Ixoye”
